Candid on Canvas- Zyra Glee reveals her TRUE COLORS.
When it comes to Zyra, you’ll always know she’s in the building when it’s a room full of dope artists mingling. Always look for the cool, calm, and collected beauty… with a mini backpack or platform shoes– yep, that’s her. It’s a good vibe today lol.
Filipino-American artist Zyra Glee brings a canvas of versatile texture to the art world. Reaching beyond her own imaginative boundaries. “I’ve been doing art for as long as I can remember.”, she says. “But during the pandemic and quarantine is when I decided to take it more seriously. It was my outlet.” Zyra says her style of expression is “Surrealism. If that makes sense.”

Zyra’s masterpieces have caught the eye of several notables around the region. The St. Charles, Missouri based artist recently had her artwork featured at upscale “The Gallery” in Herman, Mo. Her work is also featured at The Kre8 Place, a popular art hub in south St. Louis. “It was iconic for me.”, she says. She credits her artistic inspiration to her father (a musician/guitarist in the Philippines), and to the love of her life, artist and music producer Dwayne “Ferg” Ferguson.

Zyra Glee is focusing on expanding her artistry gradually. “I definitely want to have my own exhibitions, even my own museum one day. Right now, I’m just trying to find my own style and just be me. That’s my name–Glee. It means “happy”, so I just want to focus on being happy with whatever I’m doing.”

“Never compete or compare yourself to anyone. Be happy being YOU.” -Zyra Glee
