Catch their RIFF- Bestie band goes HAM on the jams.
Funky. Smooth. Cruise worthy tunes. These St. Charles guys pack a punch on the chorus and cords. “Young, exploring, and finding” energy raving through this band’s catalog of “this is me” songs. We chat backstage at the guys’ first show at south St. Louis’ The Kre8 Place. “Cody Remello” wasn’t “feeling up” for the interview.

“We’ve been friends since we were little kids. All of high school, we just messed around with music. Just doing stuff for fun.”, explains Edward “Eddy” Fawcett. “About a year and a half ago, we actually started releasing stuff.” A bond forged in common creativity, band members Eddy, 19, Dominic “Dom” Debro, 19, and “Cody Remello”(deceased lol) have bricked a destined bridge through manhood, mishaps, and musical MAYHEM.
Growing up in artistic families, Dom and Eddy were advanced with a precursor of creative influence. “My brother helped me start out with music. I started with him, and my parents are also good role models.”, shares Dom. “Me and Dom, we bounce a lot of ideas off of each other. That created our sound.”, says Eddy. The band admire artists such as St. Louis native rapper, Smino, and British singer, Bakar.

The groovy band’s style can be described as “spontaneous”. “It’s hard to put in a box.”, Eddy says. “When we think of something, we just go with it, opposed to trying to fit in a specific category.” In October 2022, The Musical Chairs released their debut EP, “What a Time To Be Alive” on streaming platforms under 7/16ths Records. “We did that the summer of our junior year in high school.” explains Dom. “I feel like we’ve grown a lot since then.” In November of 2022, the band followed up with single “Lost and Found”, featuring Devennn. Their two-track demo project, “Skip Town” was released in March 2023, with “House” EP being their latest. Collectively, the band has released over seven singles and two EPs.

Currently, Eddy, Dom, (and not quite “Cody” lol) are working on promoting and performing their new EP, and possibly a summer 2024 album. With continued candid creativity and carefree chords, these cool kids on the block are headed to outer towns and broader bounds!
