Hard in the Paint- Maxy Arts is a work of HEART.
If “picture perfect” was a role, Maxy Arts owns the part! Living color canvas pieces that speak with definition and detail. A young artist with big names on the brain. Brain to the brush bristles. Bristles to a wall worth the occupancy. I met with this passionate painter at her art’s showcase reveal.
St. Louis native Reniya “Maxy Arts” Richardson grew up with a vivid love and passion for art and visual expression. “It’s rooted in me. My dad’s an artist, my mom’s an artist and my uncle.”, shares the artist. “Around 5 yrs. old is when it started to show out. I would draw on my walls.”, Reniya adds. “Instead of getting in trouble, my grandmother was like, “Oh my goodness, we’ve got an artist in the house.”

In high school, the sketcher, painter, and muralist began taking her art more seriously. “That’s when I began painting portraits.” Since then, Maxy Arts has curated an astonishing canvas piece collection of many well-known faces. From celebrities to popular shows, films, themes, and characters. She has also cultivated an impressive fanbase locally and beyond for her phenomenal talent.

Recently, Maxy Arts celebrated the display of several of her pieces in The Kre8 Place’s art gallery, located at 3546 S. Grand in south St. Louis. She is also known for gifting popular artists with portrait paintings.
Currently, Maxy is working on commission pieces, murals, and expanding her brand and artwork’s exposure one masterpiece at a time. Speaking of time, there is only a matter of it before this amazing curator’s canvases are lacing the walls of the world’s most famous. We appreciate this visionary’s passion for the BIGGER PICTURE.
