Trap & Tribute- Que sounds off on his WINS and LOSS.
Meet QueBaby. A raw and unfiltered rapper with much heat to drop on a beat. Something to lose but nothing to prove, his expertise is lyricizing life’s tough lessons and luxuries. Granted access to the world of this Warrenton kid’s wins and woes. Dispersing the grace from our convo.

“My brother, who passed away in 2017, we used to always mess around making music together.” Columbia, MO born artist, Devon Norman aka “QueBaby”, recalls the impact and influence his late brother had on his musical aspirations. “He’s one of the people who told me to take it serious.”, he adds. “I started doing it as a hobby with friends, and he was always in my ear about it. I use that as fuel and motivation.”

Growing up in Warrenton city, QueBaby says one of his biggest life influences was his dad, and retired NFL cornerback, Deion Sanders. “My dad was a big fan of his, so I got to see a lot of games and highlights.” As far as music, the artist gives inspirational credit to singer/rapper, T-Pain. “My favorite artist right now is K Camp, for sure.”

In October 2020, Que released his debut single, “2am In the Ritz”. In March of 2022, he dropped his debut EP, titled “Small Town Kid”. “It actually did pretty good, with over 17,000 streams.”, says Que. “For my first project, I was definitely blessed to have that outcome. I got a lot of positive feedback from it.” That same year, Que followed up with singles, “Percocet Pain”, “No Percocets”, and “Secret”.
“My music is pretty exciting. You can play it in a club, or in the car vibing.”, he explains. “I’m very versatile with my voice and my writing. I have something for the tough times. Also protecting yourself and your mindset, building your confidence. Just the feelings you may be feeling. Whatever you got going on, keep your foot on the gas.” As of April 2024, QueBaby has collectively released 14 singles and his studio EP, with his latest single being “1218Am”.
Currently, QueBaby is performing and producing music and visuals, including a documentary. “We’ve been putting a lot of energy and attention towards that.” Que plans to eventually tour nationwide, hit big stages, and fulfill the potential that his brother pushed. “I definitely know that I’m going to be far within the next 5 years.” With time and talent on his side, this artist is definitely in que…now and NEXT.
